Jacaranda Trees

Every country has its own sign for arrival of summer.  For Lisbon its Jacaranda trees purple flowers signifacies arrival of the season.  This time of the year Lisbon is covered in purple flowers.  Jacaranda tree  flowers come first and then will covered in green leaves.   Trees grow up to 30m high and loves sub tropical climate.

"In the streets of Lisbon, the jacaranda trees were blooming as if nature had never lost its memory for colours. Like flaming torches, they kept vigil over the songs of the lorikeets, the cacoaques and all the other wounded birds, in the season when the coral tree flowers."
