Heatwave

Almost a week Portugal and rest of Europe hit by heatwave.  Temperature at one point was reaching +40 C.  During this heatwave mainly children and old people suffer.  It is difficult to stay at home if you do not have AC or even wine seller.  Nowadays, going to shopping centres do not help because they stopped running AC in low temperatures than outside .  Many Portuguese spend days at beaches and water of the Atlantic Ocean is cold and this could help for some people to stay cool.

For two night I did not sleep well because my DD2 was crying and she was too hot to sleep.  Last night humidity was very high which does help at all.  When it is too hot I usually put a damp towel on my chest and try to sleep.   Hopefully, soon we will have normal temperature, means +30 C.

This photo I found in the internet and it was taken in Expo Lisbon.  There are several volcano fountains and days like this could be very helpful to cool yourself.
